and installation for projects large and small in the United States for
over 20 years.
Originally a specialist in post-tensioning, Freyssinet, Inc. has successfully
expanded its portfolio of products and services into stay cables, structural
cables, bearings, joints seismic devices, repair, protection and strengthening
of structures. We specialize in diagnostic survey, repair, refurbishment,
bridge bearings and cathodic protection of reinforced concrete in the building,
civil and marine sectors.
Freyssinet, Inc. operates as General Contractor, Specialty Subcontractor
and Supplier throughout the United States. With an in-house engineering
design-team, Freyssinet, Inc. is able to support its full products and
services range. Our ISO 9001:2015 is a testament to our quality standards
and working practices. Clients include major and specialist contractors,
state DOT's, Local Authorities, and developers. Our offices are located
in Sterling, VA and Seattle, WA.
History
In March 1995, CCS Special Structures, Inc. manned by one person, Andrew
Micklus, Jr., PE, started the US operation of Freyssinet as a sole Licensee
to provide pre-stressing and post-tensioning services and products in the
United States.
In April 2000, CCS Special Structures, Inc. was purchased by Freyssinet to become PTSC and then Freyssinet, LLC in the United States. In 2008, the company was incorporated and is now operating as Freyssinet, Inc. Today, Freyssinet, Inc. employs more than 100 people in the US.
Freyssinet, Inc. is a subsidiary of the Soletanche Freyssinet Group. Freyssinet was created after the name of Eugène Freyssinet, French Engineer who invented the Post-tensioning solution in 1928. In 2009, Freyssinet, DGI-Menard, The Reinforced Earth Company and Nuvia grouped forces with Soletanche Bachy to form the Soletanche Freyssinet Group.
